Exploding an Assembly

Show how to explode an assembly automatically and manually.

1. Click Create View to open the Select Assembly dialog box.
2. Click the Explore button and select an assembly file.
3. Choose a design view stored in the assembly file.
4. Explode the assembly automatically. Remember that the direction of movement will be constrained by any assembly constraints defined in the assembly file.
5. Explode the design view manually by tweaking it. Show how to select and transform components, and how to turn trails on and off.
